What is our 'Tesco Price-Match’?
Tesco Price Match ensures that selected products available on Joybuy and included within the Price Match policy, are competitively priced against comparable Tesco grocery items. We match prices for: Branded products that are identical to those sold at Tesco Morrisons Own Brand products, which are compared to equivalent Tesco products that serve the same purpose since identical products are not available at Tesco
Which Tesco Products Do We Match?
We compare Joybuy products with either identical branded products available at Tesco or comparable Tesco products. For Morrisons Own Brand items, where identical Tesco products aren’t available, we match products that serve the same purpose and share key characteristics, such as organic, free-range, fair trade, diet, or low-fat, to ensure a fair comparison. We always use the closest pack size available. If pack sizes differ by up to 50%, we calculate an equivalent price to fairly compare the products, adjusting for the difference in weight or size. This approach ensures our price matches are fair, transparent, and based on meaningful product similarities. Theoretical example: Morrisons Beef Gravy Granules are 500g for 1.86 (3.72/kg) and Tesco Beef Gravy Granules are 1kg for 1.86 (1.86/kg). This would result in JoyBuy changing the Morrisons Own Label product to 0.93 for 500g (1.86/kg) to pro rata, matching the kg price of the comparable Tesco product.
